Biography

For approximately 15 years, Dr. Nutrena Tate has taught undergraduate community, pediatric, statistics and informatics courses, in addition to graduate research and nursing theory courses. She is an award-winning leader, consultant, board president and chairperson, who has served on several committees and organizations across national, regional and regional nonprofit practice, teaching and community settings.

Dr. Tate is a published and funded researcher. Her research focuses on eliminating health inequities in childhood obesity in populations of color as well as health disparities research in general.
